Seo, Search Engine Optimization Is Gaining In Popular Use

Posted by Adriana Noton on Jan 16, 2010 in Internet Marketing

SEO, search engine optimization is expanding its reach. With the popularity of Twitter and Facebook, optimized word use is changing its face once again. It is no longer just about web content on a web page. Google is indexing tweets and Facebook posts, thus these are becoming crucial ways of boosting a company’s presence on the internet.

If you plan on using Twitter to help your page ranking, you need to hit the ground running. Start with choosing a purposeful handle or username. Your username can then be found in the static address that will be created. Keep the username short, yet memorable so that people can find you easily.

Indexing your bio is another way to help increase your online presence. Keeping all of your indexed material very closely related to and relative to the business that you are representing will help you immensely. Keeping your descriptive inserts as poised and well positioned as possible will also boost your visibility. You get to do this with a whopping 160 characters, so think it through. It is best that you also optimize for SEO and PPC.

You can then take your social networking keyword campaign to the next level and interface all of your networking pages with each other. Twitter should be found through Facebook, and on and one. All you need is the same articles, indexing, and thoughtful bios attached to each site. Then each site needs to be connected through a simple button that will bring potential clients through to your next site. You’ll be able to tell if your general call to action is working as you can start to see whether people are going through to the next site to find out more about your business and you.

When Twitter Tweets are indexed, the priority must remain within the first several characters despite the fact that the entire tweet ends up being indexed. The algorithms of Google focus intently on the initial characters of the Tweet to help filter out duplicate material and over use.

Some of the same rules apply to Twitter as they did to web pages. Try to use keywords or buzz words that surround your product or service. However do not just fill your tweets with keywords that do have a purpose or meaning in your tweet. People are reading these as you send then out. If they are totally nonsense, people will no longer follow you.

Make sure that your SEO, search engine optimization always gives the user a real sense of information. Most people are looking for something specific that could be relevant to your business or service. By offering the stand up content that can be found, even in a single sentence, you are likely to be more successful using search engine optimization in this way.

The Internet is already changing the way how our life works. It may be wise to start looking into utilizing it to increase your presence on the Internet. We can help your company utilize Toronto SEO and PPC to help increase your business.

Where To Start With Social Media Optimization

Posted by Adriana Noton on Jan 16, 2010 in Internet Marketing

When it comes to social media, more directly social networking, there is a well known fact that you need it when publishing content on the web. Unlike SEO or PPC strategies, social media is a much more personalized marketing strategy. Content of any kind that has been produced by the users them selves is great because it is honest opinions of the people involved first hand. This is why social media optimization is the key to success.

You will need to fully optimize the keywords you have chosen do you can publish up to date content instead of old and outdated information that has been available for a long time. Try to use the keywords you have as much as you can without over killing it in the content.

On the web, sites like Myspace, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook are extremely popular as well as easy ways to make a profit if you know what to do. There is no charge to use these sites even though they are the cutting edge of media today. When using SMO, SEO, and PPC you can utilize all of them to increase your visibility online and establish yourself as an expert in your field.

Blogging is a very good way to publish that new and relevant content on a daily basis. With your blog posts you can take different points of view and even just offer up new information in general that is related to your field. It also enables you to get on a more personal level with your readers, something that isn’t so easy with a regular website.

Micro blogging is another great way to get peoples attention. This allows you to get on a very personal and interactive level with other people via Twitter. This will also boost your search engine presence and point traffic in your decision.

While you are online you should always be looking for sites where you can establish a presence in your niche. This doesn’t mean you have to be active on all of them, but if you use the right keywords you secure your spot there in your niche before someone else gets it. This is a great way to boost yourself in the search engines.

While you are online, you should always make sure that anything you are doing can be easily shared with others. Chicklets are great for just this purpose and allow readers to submit the content to social bookmarking sites right there. Add in a chicklet to every piece of new content and bookmark all new posts.

One of the most important things about SMO is participating in discussions. All of your efforts won’t yield many results if you are completely silent online. Try commenting on some blogs, asking questions, giving answers and just chatting with others.

If you don’t currently have any type of online management service you might want to go ahead and buy something now. If spending money on this type of things just isn’t an option for you at the moment you can at least use some of the free methods for now. Google and Yahoo Alerts and any other notification setting on your social networking sites will work. This helps keep you aware of anything new related to your keywords, right when it posts.

The Internet is already changing the way how our life works. It may be wise to start looking into utilizing it to increase your prescence on the Internet. We can help your company utilize SEO and PPC to help increase your business.

Super-Charge WordPress Out-Of-The-Box For Search Engine Optimization

Posted by David Anttony on Dec 18, 2009 in Internet Marketing

Wordpress out of the box permits primary management of the primary SEO meta information. To extend the functionality we add our own super-charged version of the All-In-One-SEO Pack. The SEO pack makes it simple to alter the page title and page meta description.

The All-In-One-SEO Pack is a great WordPress plugin that finishes off the SEO aspects for WordPress. For some unknown reason WordPress still has not got the SEO fixed out of the box.

The All-In-One-SEO Pack allows you you to change the most important page elements – page title and page description. It also allows you to modify the page keywords, but as we all know, search engines no longer take note of these because they have been spammed too much in the past. Google ended using the keywords for page ranking in the early 2000’s.

Page Title tags

This is the No1 SEO element to control. Always make sure that you manipulate the page title. The page title appears in the browser window at the very top of the screen. Search engines use this in the listings and display it in their search results.

Ideally the page title comprises only of appropriate keywords and nothing else. To make the text more human readable then we often add a pipe character (

The page title is the MOST important SEO page element because it is like the title of a book. And just like a book title, if it is good it will be more attractive to readers.

If your page needs to extend to cover 2 or 3 keywords we have learned that you can still get effective rankings from adding multiple keywords to the title. However, always try to make the page title as close to the keyword you want to rank for. Adding extra non-beneficial words detracts from the results achieved.

If you are a larger branded company you will probably want to add your company or brand name into the page title seeing this is exposed on Google. Keep it short and clean though. Do not add your brand statement just your brand or company name.

Page Description Meta Tags

This element is NOT used by search engines for ranking purposes. Even So, virtually all search engines will employ this in their search results so it is important. Google does not use the description all the time but we find that it uses it about 80-90% of the time. At other times Google will use the first piece of text that it can find on the page. On Flash pages this can be an issue considering there is no actual text content. This is one reason why you should constantly add at least one sentence of HTML text on a Flash based page so Google and other search engines have something meaningful to display in the search results.

By having a good description it will increase your click through rates because the text will be more attractive to people. Ensure that you use a maximum of 156 characters. If you use any more characters Google will cut short the rest. If you can keep your descriptions to–0 characters or less this is even better seeing Google sometimes adds a date to the start of the description which is part of the 156 characters it displays.

Great Internet Marketers Dominate The Top Three Positions In The SERPs

Posted by Tim Blocker on Nov 28, 2009 in Internet Marketing

Internet marketers are using a variety of methods for getting their sites ranked high in the many search engines that exist online today. There are many varied techniques used to promote a blog, website, or landing page, and all marketers want to be listed as the first listing on page one of the Search Engine Results Pages – SERPs.

On the internet today, there are as many internet marketing tools as there are search engines, and believe me, there are hundreds of search engines. Google alone has a search engine for most countries, and sites that rank high in the UK index may not even show up in the US index.

If you can get a site to rank well, the work can be well worth it. Even though it can take a lot of time and concerted effort, if you can get a website ranked on page one of the SERPs, it could turn into a huge payday.

There is a misnomer that being on the first page is all you need to worry about. It is true that you want to be on the first page results but being higher on page one counts for more, it really is the end game.

Just consider the sponsored listings which appear above organic listings. These paid advertisements dilute the organic listings and push high ranking sites down the page. This may or may not be a good thing for the person searching but for marketers, it is a problem.

Even though the paid ad might contain exactly what the searcher is looking for, it won’t be good for the internet marketer trying to get organic traffic from their organic listing. If they are listed number eight on page one of the SERPs, a person will have to scroll down the page to see your listing.

The SERPs also contain sponsored ads down the right side of the page. These ads compete for the click as well and reduce your traffic. It’s not enough to be on the first page, you need to be above the fold in the area that is initially viewable if you are going to maximize your opportunity.

Any query might return millions of pages from any search engine index accounting for hundreds if not thousands of SERPs. To be in the game and get your share of the search traffic, ranking in the top three or four is not only necessary, it is essential for your success.

Do You Want To Dominate The SERPs And Be One Of The Top Three Listings. All You Need Is A Great Internet Marketing Tool And You Will Get There.

Keyword Density for Search Engine Optimization

Posted by Nicholas Halmond on Nov 5, 2009 in Internet Marketing

Everybody involved in the world of SEO has their own opinion about keyword density. Some people think that keyword density doesn’t exist while other people believe in specific, exact densities to achieve high rankings. So what is the real truth about this topic, and how can it potentially improve or damage your positioning in the search engines?

When someone mentions keyword density for SEO, they are talking about the percentage that a particular word is found within the content of a page. A single word keyword used 5 times in 500 words has a 1% density. However, keep in mind that a 4 word key phrase used 5 times in 500 words actually has a 4% density because of the number of words used.

When SEO first began being widely practiced, the common belief was that a specific density was necessary for high search engine rankings. Therefore all of the SEO practitioners out there began trying to find the specific percentage that worked the best. Some people were thinking that it was in the 2 to 3% range while other people thought that you could use much higher percentages, in the range of 10%.

The truth is that there is no exact percentage that you should be trying to use when it comes to SEO. The search engines do not have a piece of their formula that says 3% density = first page rankings, or anything of the sort. Instead of focusing on exact percentages, you should worry about natural, normal inclusion of your targeted keywords.

This means that as you prepare your content you should keep a focus on including your keyword phrases wherever they make sense to be used. You might have a general guideline for yourself, such as trying to include the phrase every 100 words, or once per paragraph or so, but you should not worry about hitting a targeted percentage.

It’s also important that you don’t overdo this work with keywords, and that you take a more moderate approach with your SEO. People take the concept of keyword density way too far sometimes. The result is content that looks like spam to the search engines, and also looks like spam to your visitors who become quickly turned off and click on the back button.

Another important thing that you’ll want to remember is that besides your content, other areas of your website can be affecting the level of keyword density that you have. For example, the terms used in the links within your menus show up in the search engines, as does the description you enter in your META tags and the title you have at the top of the browser.

Keyword density has proven to be more fiction than fact. Yes, you want to include your keywords and include them often enough so that you get “credit” for them. But there is no such thing as a perfect keyword density for SEO, and you shouldn’t force keywords in to try to meet any precise figure.
