Posted by Bill Lloyds on Jan 28, 2010 in Internet Marketing

Selling a product or service to a local customer base often does not provide a business with the needed growth opportunities to thrive. By expanding a customer base a business has the capacity to expand ex potentially. However in order to expand in this manner it is necessary to employ more strategic marketing tools. One of these tools involves the use of SEO and website design.

There are thousands of websites designed on a regular basis which are vying for the market of customers that will help their businesses to thrive. Many of these businesses have some idea of that search engine optimization is. Some businesses may have been approached by companies offer SEO services and thought that it would make little difference in the overall impact of their marketability. However with careful planning and use SEO and website design are intricately linked when used as an effective marketing strategy.

SEO can play a vital role in the ranking of a business or company on the search engine directories. When websites are scanned there are certain key words that cause the entire website to be placed in a higher ranking than other website. These are the words or phrases that are used most often when people search a directory for a product, service, or information.

There are companies that offer website design services which do not have staff who are familiar with the concept or format requirements to incorporate SEO into the design of the site. There are SEO companies that do not have the staff on hand who have the unique skills and talents required to make a website design that is attractive and enticing for a visitor. However, in recent years there have been some companies created that provide both services and have the staff on hand that are trained to provide both SEO and website design.

Companies that select internal employees to create websites often find that the skills and expertise required are not available in a regular business setting. The field of SEO and website design is very specialized and requires a unique skill set that often is not found in an office or business setting. Companies that have a site designed then hire a full-time staff person to maintain the site often see much better results and also find that the long term cost effectiveness makes the initial investment of an outside resource well worth it.

When a specialized SEO and website design company is retained by a business there are many meetings held to create a design that will be effective and attract the target audience for the product or service. The language of the content must be carefully thought out and placed in the body of the website in a manner which will elicit positive responses from visitors to the site.

Many website designers have perfected techniques for creating sites that are user friendly and provide the look that is required to attract a large audience. It is the purpose of SEO to take the site one step further and provide the content within the design that will increase traffic to the site and raise the search engine ranking of the site.

A growing business finds very quickly that a well designed website affords the company many long-term benefits. The customer base is expanded from a local market to a global market, the sales of products and services increases, and the objectives of a business are more easily met. SEO and website design can be costly in the initial stages, however these costs are quickly offset by the increased sales and customer interaction that is attained.

Examining The Visitors To Your Web Site

Posted by andris62 on Dec 12, 2009 in Internet Marketing

Analyzing your web users figures will be a useful tool for a variety of different reasons. However before you can build full use of this tool, you wish to perceive a way to interpret the information.

Most internet hosting companies internet marketing promotion can provide you with basic net users data that you then need to interpret and build pertinent use of. But, search marketing the info you receive from your host company will be overwhelming if you do not perceive how to use it to your explicit business and website. Let’s begin by examining the most basic knowledge – the typical visitors to your site on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

These figures are the foremost accurate search engine optimisation services measure of your website’s activity. It would seem on the surface that the more traffic you see recorded, the better you can assume your web site is doing, however this is often an inaccurate perception. You want to also take a look at the behavior of your guests once they are available to your web site to accurately gauge the effectiveness of your site.

There’s usually a great misconception regarding what’s commonly referred to as “hits” and what’s really effective, quality traffic to your site. Hits merely means the quantity of data requests received by the server. If you think that about the actual fact that a hit can merely equate to the number of graphics per page, you’ll get an plan of how overblown the concept of hits can be. For instance, if your homepage has fifteen graphics on it, the server records this as fifteen hits, when essentially we are talking about a single visitor testing a single page on your site. As you’ll see, hits are not helpful in analyzing your web site users.

The more visitors that come back to your website, the more correct your interpretation can become. The larger the visitors is to your website, the a lot of precise your analysis can be of overall trends in visitor behavior. The smaller the amount of guests, the a lot of a few anomalous visitors
can distort the analysis. The aim is to use the internet traffic statistics to work out how well or how poorly your web site is working for your visitors. One way to see this can be to seek out out how long on average your visitors pay on your site. If the time spent is relatively brief, it typically indicates an underlying problem. Then the challenge is to figure out what that drawback is.

It could be that your keywords are directing the wrong kind of visitors to your web site, or that your graphics are confusing or intimidating, inflicting the visitor to exit rapidly. Use the knowledge of how abundant time guests are spending on your website to pinpoint specific issues, and once you fix those problems, still use time spent as a gauge of how near your repair has been.

Posted by andris62 on Dec 10, 2009 in Internet Marketing

If you have got become inquisitive about the net in recent times you little question wish to understand what works. You want to be successful in net selling, right? Then browse along to find out the two MOST vital things you wish to possess success online.

The foremost important thing preciseinternetmarketing to recollect when you first begin web marketing is to create a list. What I mean after I say this can be you want to have some means of capturing the e-mail addresses of those that come back to visit your site. This can be terribly attainable to try and do; all you wish search engine optimisation services to try to to is set-up an autoresponder account. How it works is when a visitor involves your site, they see your sign on form, ppc marketing put in their name and email, or whatever data you are soliciting for, and then they get a moment response email from you saying “Welcome” or “Thanks for signing up for blank” This method you have got captured the e-mail address for future emails you send out to push your website/product etc. Since your visitor willingly gave their name and/or email address to you, any any emails sent will not seen as spam. This is often necessary as a result of spam sucks, and anyone who gets a bunch of spam is rarely a cheerful camper. Conjointly, you should always embrace a removal link at the top of your emails to administer them the choice to get rid of themselves from your mailing list. I’ve got personally found it annoying once I can’t find a removal link in an email and I keep getting them sent to me. Be professional in everything you do.

Another essential for net promoting online is your own website. Now once I say essential I do not mean you fully HAVE to own a website, but it is very HIGHLY recommended. The rationale for this can be as a result of it is your house to sell your merchandise/services. It’s your virtual “real estate.” You own this web site and you’ll produce it anyway you like. You’ll be able to also produce your own website address that nobody else has! Build it something straightforward to remember to stay those guests returning back for additional! Making a website is not laborious to do. It just takes a very little time on your half, but in the top you’ll be very happy you did.

So go out and build that web site and obtain that autoresponder account. It’s guaranteed that while not these 2 necessities you may not have the success you may have with them.

Getting Your Emails Open With Better Subject Lines

Posted by Brian Tubbs on Dec 9, 2009 in Internet Marketing

No matter how high tech the world becomes, when it comes to communicating there are still a lot of old issues to deal with. When taking on an email marketing campaign you still have the same issues as you did when using postal mail — trying to make the envelope or the subject line in the email interesting enough to get people to open it.

Most people who receive email, end up deleting the email before they ever open them. To be successful with email marketing you need to get people to open your email, but how? The answer is: by using a good subject line.

When reading a subject line in an email, the recipient gets an idea of what the message is about before opening it. A subject line is your first and only chance to get people to open your email without deleting it first. Here you will find some great tips on how to write the best subject links to make sure your emails get opened.

1. Don’t Leave The Subject Blank

Don’t leave the subject line empty, you need to put something there. People don’t open messages when they don’t know what they’re about. For one reason, they don’t have time to be bothered. With all the threats of viruses in emails, people won’t risk it.

Almost as useless as leaving the subject line blank is typing the word “Hi” or “Greetings.” Feel free to use subject lines like that for your friend and family. But using a subject line like that is not going to get you anywhere but broke.

2. Be Specific

The amount of emails that people get daily are huge. Now if you want to get your email open you need to be specific in your subject line and let people know what you have to offer. If you put good information in the subject line along with the specifics about what you have to offer, then the chances that your email gets opened will increase.

For example, Instead of using a line like “traffic” use “Guaranteed Website Traffic.”

3. Use your Imagination

Being creative is the best way to get people to open your emails so, Be creative.

4. Use a spell checker on your subject lines to make sure the spelling is correct. If people think you can’t spell, they are not going to open your email or buy anything from you

Getting your emails open is the name of the game, and if you follow these suggestions, you will get more emails opened. If you really want to make more money with your email marketing, start using these tips now, if not you only have yourself to blame.

Promoting Your Website or Affiliate Link The Right Way

Posted by Brian Tubbs on Dec 7, 2009 in Internet Marketing

How do you honestly make money in online marketing, what do I have to do in order to get the best results?

It’s easy to become dumbfounded in online advertising, especially with everybody telling you that this thing or that thing is the Golden key to riches. But what do you really need in order to started for better results?

Firstly, you need to understand that not everybody is right and when they are all telling you different things, how can they all be right..

Now you need to ask yourself, out of all those amazing idea’s, how many have you tried? Then ask yourself how many of those have actually made you money?

I have asked this question hundreds of times and the answer is always no. But be easy on yourself because there is hope. Let’s just figure out where you are at right now.

For the newbies: Have you bought a Domain Name yet? Do you have a Website? Did you buy an auto responder?

Been in internet marketing for 6 months: How big is your email list? How often do you send email’s to your list, daily? Are you just promoting the same product over and over?

For people who have been doing this over 1 year: How responsive is your list? How is your SEO? For every dollar you spend on advertising what do you get back? Are you making enough online to quit your day job?

Now this is just a short list of questions, there are a lot more, but this should have your wheels turning.

If you want better answers, you need to look at what you are doing and decide if it is the right things to be working on, How much time are you devoting to improving the things that support your internet empire. And how much time do you spend chasing your tail or the latest super hot technique.

Just so you know, most of the “new” programs and services that you read about online everyday, are nothing more than fluffed up stuff of the things that really work.

If your online business is not where you thought it would be by now, then you need to take a step back and figure out why, and then take the appropriate steps to change what you are doing and devote time to do what really works.

So what is the best way to allot your time to each task? Keep a ledger of everything that needs to be done and allot a time frame for each step. Now this may not sound very cool but it works and has worked for a lot of people for a very long time.

Sounds simple right, but are you willing to just do it?

Once you set this program up, make sure you do what you have set your time aside to do, maybe a new longer series of auto responder messages that encourages the person to take another look at your products or affiliate links.

Have you website really leave an impression on your visitors, submit at least 1 article a day to as many article directories you can find, join and be active in forums and blogs that directly relate to your products.

Now all of these basic things will make you money. Now that you are making money simply because you got back to the basics of internet marketing, you can begin adding new ways of advertising and see if they improve your traffic and sales. Ask yourself do these new techniques suit your style, your products, your mind set, then try them.

Create goals in your journal or diary and figure out what will help you achieve these goals, and spend more time working on your internet empire than reading email’s that are making other people money.

Once you begin to start making more money online than you ever have before you will find these steps a pleasure to do everyday, and that will lead you to a new level of business. So now you just need to figure out what you have to do and make a plan to get it done, once your plan is made you need to stick to it.

Make Google Love Your Site With Article Marketing

Posted by Dustin Fennell on Nov 30, 2009 in Internet Marketing

By the time you finish reading this article you will understand how to drive free traffic to your web sites by increasing the ranking of your website or pages in the search engines using article marketing.

How to get more targeted web site traffic with article marketing

First off, I want to say that this is not an instant process and it will take some time for you to see results, but if you do what I tell you and stick to it, you will see results.

In order for you to get the most out of what I have to teach you here you need to have basic understanding of SEO and that is out of the scope of this article. If you are not familiar with SEO and keyword research I suggest you read up on that first and then read this.

The very first thing you will want to do is figure out what keyword you want your site to rank for. If you are just starting out it is a very good idea to target lower competition keyword, with less than 50,000 competing pages, because they will be much easier for you to get your website to rank for.

Next you will want to create a page on your site using that keyword in the Title and H1 tags along with a few variations of the keyword in the body text as well. You want to keep your keyword density somewhere between 2 and 5 percent and you should be fine.

After getting the page created on your site, you want to write an article that is related to the content that you just created. The article should be short and to the point, around three to five hundred words, works best.

The next step is not required but should be done if you want maximum results and want to write less articles overall. You want to take the article you just wrote and rewrite it twice, you should do this on a paragraph by paragraph basis so that each paragraph could be replaced by a rewritten one and still have the article say the same thing.

Because you want to get traffic from the articles as well, you want to create a compelling authors resource box, with a strong call to action, that entices readers to click through to your site. Most article directories allow you to have two to three links in your resources box and it is these links that make the whole process work. You want to use your target keywords as your links anchor text as much as possible. This is how the search engines decide what sites are going to rank where in the SERP’s so the number of links you have and what they say your site is about is very important.

Finally, you want to get your article with the links pointing back to your site on as many places on the web as possible. That means start submitting you article to article directories, create a Squidoo lens and Hubpage, contact other webmasters and see if they would like content on their sites and have them post a unique version of your article. The point is to get as many links back to your site with your keywords anchor text telling the search engine’s what to rank your site for and how important it is.

One last clarification, the reason you want to spin you articles is so that you can avoid Google’s duplicate content filters, where if multiple duplicate pages are found, Google will only count one. All the links from the other pages will either be discounted or not counted at all and all your efforts will have been for nothing. A quick tip for spinning is to create 25+ variations of your titles, I have found that the more titles I create the more backlinks I see count in the search engines.

If you would like more targeted web site traffic, so you can increase sales and/ or mailing list opt ins, check out my article marketing strategy guide, Article Shotgun by clicking here.

Great Internet Marketers Dominate The Top Three Positions In The SERPs

Posted by Tim Blocker on Nov 28, 2009 in Internet Marketing

Internet marketers are using a variety of methods for getting their sites ranked high in the many search engines that exist online today. There are many varied techniques used to promote a blog, website, or landing page, and all marketers want to be listed as the first listing on page one of the Search Engine Results Pages – SERPs.

On the internet today, there are as many internet marketing tools as there are search engines, and believe me, there are hundreds of search engines. Google alone has a search engine for most countries, and sites that rank high in the UK index may not even show up in the US index.

If you can get a site to rank well, the work can be well worth it. Even though it can take a lot of time and concerted effort, if you can get a website ranked on page one of the SERPs, it could turn into a huge payday.

There is a misnomer that being on the first page is all you need to worry about. It is true that you want to be on the first page results but being higher on page one counts for more, it really is the end game.

Just consider the sponsored listings which appear above organic listings. These paid advertisements dilute the organic listings and push high ranking sites down the page. This may or may not be a good thing for the person searching but for marketers, it is a problem.

Even though the paid ad might contain exactly what the searcher is looking for, it won’t be good for the internet marketer trying to get organic traffic from their organic listing. If they are listed number eight on page one of the SERPs, a person will have to scroll down the page to see your listing.

The SERPs also contain sponsored ads down the right side of the page. These ads compete for the click as well and reduce your traffic. It’s not enough to be on the first page, you need to be above the fold in the area that is initially viewable if you are going to maximize your opportunity.

Any query might return millions of pages from any search engine index accounting for hundreds if not thousands of SERPs. To be in the game and get your share of the search traffic, ranking in the top three or four is not only necessary, it is essential for your success.

Do You Want To Dominate The SERPs And Be One Of The Top Three Listings. All You Need Is A Great Internet Marketing Tool And You Will Get There.

Who Told You There Is No Way For You To Succeed Online?

Posted by Pete Miguel on Nov 19, 2009 in Internet Marketing

For a lot of aspiring online entrepreneurs, that beginning stage of their studying process is considered to be the hardest part of it all. This is because they still have no idea which of the info they actually find online is worth spending their time and which may just be considered as garbage info. The most important thing you need to understand if you are to really aspire for that much sought after goal of doing business online is that there are proven ways to do it. And that there’s no need to reinvent the wheel anymore.

Almost every individual who gets to understand the highly attractive benefits of creating income via the internet becomes so overjoyed during that very moment of hearing each and every promising possibility. The sad truth though, is that many of these overjoyed individuals will feel this excitement really short lived, there maybe be a few who can sustain their positive emotions quite longer than others but still, the bottom point is that excitement will be ended as soon as these people find out about the whole truth in creating an online income.

So, do you want to know why 90% of these aspiring online entrepreneurs never really do make it?

One thing that most online entrepreneur aspirants don’t realize is that they tend to get really hyped up at first, and this is the reason why a lot of them would head on straight right where the action is without even assessing the entire game whether it is probable for them to succeed or not.

The exact same analysis applies as when you are starting to build your web business. The web can simply be compared to the vastness of the ocean when pertaining to the sea of opportunities that internet can offer. Just like swimming in the deep blue ocean without any equipment for support in keeping you afloat, you can easily drown by what is in front of you.

Correct Info + A Rightful Desire = Successful Web Business

Because of the vastness of the online industry, there are numerous ways you could do business and create income. Which now raises the million dollar question each time: why is it that only 10% of these venturers really get to their goals? The answer is, they started working towards a business model that is not appropriate for them and with the wrong mindset. To find out whether you are on the right track or not is to answer these questions:

First – do you have passion for the kind of online business you choose to establish?

If you have passion for what you’re doing, you won’t quit easily when faced with challenges. And because you enjoy what you do, it is easy for you to think of magnificent ideas that could give you bigger advantage against your market competitors.

Second – is financial gain your main objective why you are pursuing such goal?

Study different histories and the stories of people both great and not, and you will find out that no pursuit have ever been really successful with money as the main reward in mind. Sure, you may consider it as a starter like an icing on a cake’s surface, but it is not enough to get you there really.

On the other hand, individuals who are passionate enough toward their work will keep on renewing their feeling of pushing harder until they get to where they want to go.

Keyword Density for Search Engine Optimization

Posted by Nicholas Halmond on Nov 5, 2009 in Internet Marketing

Everybody involved in the world of SEO has their own opinion about keyword density. Some people think that keyword density doesn’t exist while other people believe in specific, exact densities to achieve high rankings. So what is the real truth about this topic, and how can it potentially improve or damage your positioning in the search engines?

When someone mentions keyword density for SEO, they are talking about the percentage that a particular word is found within the content of a page. A single word keyword used 5 times in 500 words has a 1% density. However, keep in mind that a 4 word key phrase used 5 times in 500 words actually has a 4% density because of the number of words used.

When SEO first began being widely practiced, the common belief was that a specific density was necessary for high search engine rankings. Therefore all of the SEO practitioners out there began trying to find the specific percentage that worked the best. Some people were thinking that it was in the 2 to 3% range while other people thought that you could use much higher percentages, in the range of 10%.

The truth is that there is no exact percentage that you should be trying to use when it comes to SEO. The search engines do not have a piece of their formula that says 3% density = first page rankings, or anything of the sort. Instead of focusing on exact percentages, you should worry about natural, normal inclusion of your targeted keywords.

This means that as you prepare your content you should keep a focus on including your keyword phrases wherever they make sense to be used. You might have a general guideline for yourself, such as trying to include the phrase every 100 words, or once per paragraph or so, but you should not worry about hitting a targeted percentage.

It’s also important that you don’t overdo this work with keywords, and that you take a more moderate approach with your SEO. People take the concept of keyword density way too far sometimes. The result is content that looks like spam to the search engines, and also looks like spam to your visitors who become quickly turned off and click on the back button.

Another important thing that you’ll want to remember is that besides your content, other areas of your website can be affecting the level of keyword density that you have. For example, the terms used in the links within your menus show up in the search engines, as does the description you enter in your META tags and the title you have at the top of the browser.

Keyword density has proven to be more fiction than fact. Yes, you want to include your keywords and include them often enough so that you get “credit” for them. But there is no such thing as a perfect keyword density for SEO, and you shouldn’t force keywords in to try to meet any precise figure.
